Is this the 1st Spear in wrestling from 1989 by brian pillman against lex luger?

I thought goldberg, mongo mcmicheals or rhino invented it but here's a video of pillman hitting luger with a spear way before they even started wrestling.

funny thing too pillman, goldberg & rhino all played football which make's sense why it looks like a football tackle, because it basically is lol

@trish- isn't a spear a shoulder block takedown? and a double leg has no real run but more of a shoot from 2 or 3 feet like they do in school wrestling and edge's spear uses a double leg sometimes if I'm right.

    Actually Pillman wasn't the 1st. There were several that did this before Pillman I think Ron or Rocky Johnson did it too. He played football for the Florida Gators. I think. I can't remember who all did it. I think JYD. But I don't recall.

    a) that was a take down, not a spear (take downs were big back in the day, especially in out of the ring schmozs)

    b) thx for making me watch that, now I am queer
