Any tips for this? (20 forsaken characters?

In a few hours, or tomorrow, my parents and I will have a talk about which college I'd like to attend. They want me to look at which college offers me what i need. I have a choice to make between 32 provincial colleges. Now, a lot of those are in the cities, and that's where I want to go at.

How can I make sure it will be clear that I expect myself to be self-sufficient and living away from my family?

With college coming, my adulthood will follow as well. Fortunately, I know this province (Quebec) is full of ressources, so I don't expect myself to be in deep trouble as I start off.

I just want to make sure I'm clear; that I'll leave to study in the city of Montreal.

Make it clear where you want to go. Tell them you want to go to montreal. Make sure you understand what that will entail. Not being able to come home every week end etc. Your parents will probably support you in your decisions as long as you stand by them and seem confident.
