What is your opinion of Aquaman?

I think Aquaman is underrated and overhated. He's actually really strong and powerful and has some really cool powers and abilities. I've researched Aquaman and that's how I formed my opinion on him.

I never read the comic, only the old superfriends cartoon show.

Ok, what a silly thing to be Most battles happen on land where most people live, so why have an ability to talk to the creatures of the sea? I mean, most superheros NEVER are on a ship even. It's like he's such a bad idea of a super power he couldn't turn into a bad guy. They would be like, "what You talk to fish and they help you do stuff? When will I ever need this?" So he had to be a good guy to hope people accept him. Wonder twins made more sense, and the one that turned into water... He don't make no sense! He'd be better off if he can make it rain or something. But I'm a fan of x-men. So it really don't matter. Oh, the reason I never read his comic, super friends T.V. Show made him look like a useless hero to me.

The guy-

-Has body strong and dense enough to survive the pressure at any point in the ocean. No human or human built machine can do that.

- Has low telepathic connection with sea creature. He can't 'talk' to them, but calling an orca or a karaken for help could never hurt.

- Is a king of an empire that spreads over 70% of the world.

The guy is powerful, not a joke.

I'm a fan of his new book at least. I didn't really read that many books with him in it before that (just the odd JLA book), but I've always known he wasn't as lame as everyone makes him out to be. He has super strength, super speed (in water and he's faster than the average Joe on land) and he can just brush off bullets.

From what I remember of the Super Friends, all the characters were kind of jokes and not really portrayed as they are today. Family Guy just rips on everyone, so if you find judge a character based on that show you'd think pretty much everyone was lame.

I like him better than the 2011 Thundercats version of Tygra; at least Aquaman served a purpose.

Gotta admit, Family Guy has warped my view of Aqua Man a bit. Throwing star fish at a rapist and calling for some fish buddies to save the day is pretty hilarious.
