Tragus piercing?????????????

Thoughts on tragus ear piercing? Did yours reject? Any complications? Did it heal well? Thinking about getting it done but don't want to waste my time on it if it has rejected most people. Not really interested in if it hurts or not just wanting some advice on it. I have my belly button, nose, and cartlidge pierced. So I no what a piercing feels like

The tragus piercing hurts a bit more than the lobes only because it's a ticker part of your ear. But as for the pain I can't tell you the exact pain level because its different for each person. The tragus piercing takes 12-24 weeks to heal but up to a year before its fully healed. So don't take it out for a year (or longer) even after you change it. And that way you won't have to worry about closing up! I have my tragus done and absolutely love it! I got it a little over a year ago. The pain isn't all that bad just a sharp pressure like pain is all I felt. It was mostly uncomfortable because of this!

People might tell you to go to Claire's, Icing or the Piercing Pagoda. But whatever you do DO NOT go to one of these places because they use piercing gun which is very unsanitary. Piercing guns CAN NOT be sterilized (alcohol swabs can't clean 100%) properly and harbors blood born pathogens, leftover tissue and transmitted diseases (like aids or hiv). This is even worse if you get your cartilage pierced with a gun because it can shatter the cartilage and severely damage it. Piercing guns don't give a clean piercing and infection is higher and it NEVER heals properly!

Here is information to back up why piercing guns are bad:

So if you're going to get ANY ear piercing go to a professional. They use piercing needles which hurt more and are a bit more expensive, but it's well worth it. The needles are very sanitary and the jewelry used is very high quality grade. They give you the proper aftercare and know what they're doing. Hope this information helps you with making the right choice!

Doesnt hurt. No complications. If you pierce it on a certain nerve on your tragus it will prevent migranes for the rest of your life. Heals normal just like any other peircing. Just take care of it and keep it clean.
