ultrasound question? 10 points (:?

I asked my midwife if my ultrasound was based on my lmp or the measures of the baby and she said both. What exactly does this mean? I was unsure on my lmp but my due date matches up with my lmp. Does this mean my estimated period was correct if she said they are going off both?

Your gestational age (officially) goes by your LMP but we also go by the measurements as your gestational age. The measurements just tell us if it matches with your LMP (in the beginning at least).A lot of babies are a week or two off in dates (which is normal) later on in the pregnancy.
