Brief history of England?

I was wondering, how did the people of England go from the druids or older ancient tribes to modern english speaking people?

English history starts with Julius Caesar who didn't write much down about the Druids.

Roman influence declined and England was invaded by Angles, Saxons, and then the Normans

Language was picked up from various sources.

Pig is the English for a pig but Pork is Norman name for Pig.

Over time the pig retained it's name and pork came to mean the meat.

Swine comes from the Saxons and is used as a pural of Pigs
