why do cops pin people on their stomachs and wrestlers pin people on their backs?

you can always go for an armbar or something instead of handcuffing if you don't have handcuffs.

Cops don't pin you on your back because you would be able to bend at the waist and be harder to control.

Because cops intend to handcuff "perps" hands behind their backs. Wrestlers don't.
