How would you describe the Okiniwan Tegumi?

Especially people who have cross trained with a grappling style how would you describe it?

Update:

@sensei scandalous- it's good to see you back sensei and I know it's not cross training lol I guess I meant how could you compare it to another people trained in like shui jiao or aikido etc. sorry for the lack of details.

Tegumi or Tigumi is using your applications against an opponent in a closely pressured manner. It resembles wrestling and you can call it that.

It is a practice of engagement like kumite, kakie, randori. The term is the same as kumite, with "te" as the prefix.

"k"is pronounced "g" when it is not the first letter in the word, as well as the "d" sound used.

Okinawans would say: tigumi and kumidi.

To Okinawan martial arts, Tigumi is not crosstraining. It is an integral and essential aspect of everyday training.
