Way of life for the aristocratic upper class during the Victorian Era?
I happen to be writing a story and one of my characters are from the Victorian Era. He's supposed to be a kid(around 14 or so) and I would just like to know how the upper class lived. The way they spoke(very important), lived, dressed, and especially what they thought of the lower class. For the speech, a little of their jargon would be nice too.
I know some would tell me to go read some of the works from that era, and I am, but still need a little help.
I also realize that the rule of Queen Victoria was a good 70, 60 years or so, so no need to be too specific, just in general would be fine.

A lot of rich people in the Victorian era did not work at all. They simply lived off the income of their fortunes and engaged in "gentlemanly" pursuits.
