When will this girl mature and realize what she wants?
I liked this girl for over 2 years. She liked me as well. But her friends hate me (call me creep,etc.) and since a large part of her life revolves around them she's hesitant to be with me. She's a quiet girl who is somewhat insecure but incredibly intelligent. Her friends are immature and slutty. We're both 19 in college and will go to med school in two years.
She is overprotected by her family as well. When will this girl mature and realize you can't listen and follow your friends all your life? When she turns 21/22? When she enters med school? They're her high school friends too.
She is supposed to be a "socially awkward" girl but I've never really seen it. She always seemed to be her own beautiful person to me.

Maybe after she spends more time in college or meets decent friends. College is a good place to mature and meet new friends and expand out of the whole high school clique. It is a shame, she might regret it in the long run, all because she was too concerned about what her friends thought. And odds are, she won't keep these friends forever but a good guy is rare to find.
