How accurate are ultrasounds with babies weight?
I'm 41 weeks and 1 day. I had an ultrasound today to check everything. They said my babies weight is about 9 1/2 lb. holy crap. I don't even feel that big to be honest. Should I even try to push him out or should I get a c section. They said its my hoice and I go back tommorrow to set up an appointment for a c section or induction. I weighed 115 when I got pregnant. Now I'm 191. Any advice or labor stories?

i had an ultrasound right before my son was induced and it was almost exact. as far as what you should choose, i think you should talk to your doctor because my stories won't help. my babies were 5 lbs 5 ounces and 6 lbs 1 ounce so i can't imagine how scared you must be with 9 1/2 pounder. GOOD LUCK =)

Ultrasounds are VERY innacurate in estimating fetal weight.
And fetal weight makes little difference in your ability to push the baby out. Women give birth to 9 and 10 pound babies every day.
Really, planning a c-section based on estimated weight makes NO sense. If you plan a section, your odds of major surgery are 100%. If you go for a vaginal birth, yes, it's POSSIBLE that you'll be unable to push baby out and will need a c-section, but it's much more likely that you won't need one. So surely a (say...) 30% chance of a c-section is better than a 100% change. And going through labor is good for the baby.
I also wouldn't recommend inducing. Induction has its own risks. You have another week before you're really 'late', and baby will almost certainly be born by then. If you're still pregnant in a week, THEN you discuss induction.

Ultrasounds can be way off! My entire pregnancy they told me I was going to have a 4lb baby. My son was 6lbs 13oz & he came early! It's best to stay away from c-sections, although it may seem the easy way out it's not. It takes longer to heal & causes a lot of pain afterward. Pushing your baby out will come naturally & won't cause so much damage to your body. You will be fine, I say push that baby out, it makes you feel like a superwoman after (: good luck & congrats!
