Spotting after cervix being checked?
Had my cervix checked at 38 weeks wasn't dilated but was softening and I didn't spot. Had my cervix checked today at 39 weeks 1/2 cm and 50% effaced but after I went to use the bathroom and had very lite blood in my underwear with some period like cramping. Is this normal?

Could also be the onset of labor. A lot of women lose what's called their mucus plug. It is sometimes blood streaked. And the cramping could be your body gearing up for labor good luck.

Yes it can be... Getting your cervix checked can cause spotting or even cramping...
