CHEERLEADING: how to convince mom?

I really wanna cheer when I move, in a pout a week and a half.

I've been surrunded by cheerleaders my whole life.

I'm 14, 5foot 8, 125lbs

I'm flexible, almost got my left splits!! :)

My abs are getting stronger and stronger by the second, and I've started to watch whati eat.

My mom was Cheerleading is dangerous, and isn't a sport. And it shouldn't be considered in the same categorie as dance, and that the skirts are too short.

Oh, wanna tumble so bad, I have no intention being a flyer. I'll be a base if I have too. :)

Please write as much details, and as much ideas of what I should say to Convince my Mom.

Please&Thank-You <3

Update:

Sorry for the bad writing. :$ I wrote this really fast.

Well for starters set your mom down and tell her how much being a cheerleader means to you! Tell her how hard you've worked. Cheerleading is considered a sport at my school and many others. It isn't the safest sport but that's why we have coaches to make it safe. There is a huge handbook on what not to do and what to do. The unsafe stuff is not aloud on any level of cheer. The whole cheer skirt thing is a stereotype both of my cheer skirts are finger tip. But anyways just tell your mom that its something you wanna try. Mention the rule book. I hope this helps.

You can tell your mother that cheer-leading is a combination of dance and gymnastic and it shows school involvement , leadership skills , commitment, dedication and teamwork skills which are great things for when you apply to college. You can also tell her you are moving and this is a great way to show school spirit and make new friends that are also positive about school , learning and things you are interested in. Also reassure her that the skirts do not all have to be short you can keep them to a decent length and you can wear spandex under-armor shorts. Make sure you tell her being a cheerleader is not a career choice is it just a hobby you want to pursue to keep you busy and at the same time have a good time.

I'm a young adult and I love cheerleaders. Tell her cheerleading is good for the body and soul. It's an entertaining as well as a popular activity and you seem fit for it.
