Buying my First Touhou Game?

Question

I've heard quite a bit of Touhou, mainly through it's music. Now I'm not much of a gamer, but I thought it would be worth giving at least one of the games a shot. I feel a bit bad loving the music so much but knowing little to nothing about the game...
I own a few game systems and am willing to buy one, so I was wondering which one of the Touhou games you'd recommend for a newbie to them.

First of all, they're all for either PC or a PC-only emulator.
Secondly, you don't buy them, you download them with pre-installed english translation patches from moriyashrine.weebly.com.
Lastly, I recommend you start with Touhou 6.  Touhous 1-5 were one continuity, but then 6 and onward is completely detached apart from some characters, and others have had massive revamps.  None of them remember 1-5 anyway.
Again, they are not for any consoles.  Get them from moriyashrine.weebly.com, and start with Touhou 6.  Got it?  Good!  Have fun using all your continues in an easy mode run!

firstly let me just say that touhou can run on a Mac
you just need a program called Wine:

second, for touhou 1-5 you need a pc98 emulator, like anex, also everyone loves MIMA

third, for fighting games try SWR ofr10.5, for the shmups, i suggest trying out Imperishable Night (TH08), i find it easier than EoSD, plus you get to have 7 lives at the start of the game and a maximum of 9 ( not too sure). or get Ten Desires (th13) since ZUN did say he made this a little bit easier for other players.

don't worry a lot of us loves the music but can't play the games well, heck i still listen to it yet rarely play at all.

The game is based on a character story. The storyline is organized into flashbacks where the three protagonists define themselves and work together to clear up the surprising story behind the title.
It's the best game.

Because you said you know nothing about the game
you need to figure some barrier first
Do you know that means you are going to import the game from Japan?
Do you know that most Japanese company don't sell oversea?
and as the person above me said. The game don't use any game console.

some of Japan base companies that do sell oversea and in English are w-canvas & jlist
I did buy a doujin from w-canvas and before. 

I recommend TH10.5 scarlet weather rhapsody for fighting game
and for danmaku game my friend recommend TH06 Embodiment of Scarlet Devil
