Help with debt? Any suggestions please..?

Hi, im in a bit of debt about nearly £1000

I had a phone on contract and didnt oay the last few months and i also got a contract for a girl and she didnt pay it and just dumped it back on me. So O2 have passed on the debt to a debt recovery service. Im currently in a part time job and i dont get much money at all.. I know what i have done is stupid and i have learnt from this. Im only 20 years old and im trying to fine a full time job. Any advice?.. Is there a company that can help me. Its really getting me stressed out and worried. Money that i get from work is towards my bus fare to college as im a studant.

Thanks for any comments left and would appreciate no abuse.. :-)

GET IN TOUCH WITH DEBT RECOVERY and make arrangement to pay it off monthly over a period of time,if they don't agree with this go to the Citizens Advice Bureau and they will make the necessary arrangements for you

Do not borrow more money in order to pay this debt - that is the way that the amount you owe just keeps growing. The only exception is if you can borrow from parents, who tend not to ask for high interest on the loan. Try and come to an arrangement to pay this debt of bit by bit. If that can't be done, I suggest you sell of your belongings to try and cover it.

Talk to O2 and explain your circumstances and plead with them to allow you to pay back what you owe them in small instalments. They might agree if they think that handing it over to the debt collectors will not get them much anyways.

If they don't be prepared for the debt collectors and remove your flat screen tv, your iphones, your ipads and all other electrical items you possess. Unfortunately being "only 20 years old" is no excuse, if you were old enough to take out two contracts, you were old enough to realise the consequences of your actions.

A company that can help you? Huh??? No, a company can't help you.

Take on extra work an py it off. If you can't find a full time job, ge a second part time job. You can also. Ow lawns, wash cars, babysit, walk dogs, etc.
