I am an Atheist, now what? (part 2)?
Just to add to my other question, I have some things to say concerning religion.
The amount of wars that have been fought in the name of religion is ridiculous. Thou shalt not kill is one of the ten commandments, yet, holy war is justified by church authorities. THAT is why religion and state should always be separate.
Another thing, is it really that much different in believing in fairies and believing in God? There are stories and accounts of both existing. What makes one more plausible than the other? Bit of trolling there, no pun intended.
Now what? Apparently I'm going to Dance With The Devil.
Hitler killing Jews, some terrorist attacks on the US. I should have added not only Christianity, but other religions as well.

Which has done more good?
The ten commandments?
Or the Bill of Rights?
The Bill of Rights directly violates the commandments;
#1. You can have all the gods you want.
#2. Graven images are completely legal.
#3. Freedom of speech allows taking the lords name in vain.
#4. We don't have to have any Sabbath day, let alone Sunday.
#5. We don't have to honor our parents, especially if they are alcoholics.
#7. Adultery is not actually a crime. Felony or misdemeanor.
#10. Coveting is also not a crime.
The only ones that are actually laws are;
#8. Stealing.
#9. is debatable since politicians would all be in jail if lying were outlawed.

Religion has most likely done more harm than good over the ages. Giving people a moral guidance, may have started out as well intentions, but churches quickly realized this is a good way to get people to do what they want and get free **** from their followers. And as we all know, the road to hell is paved with good intentions...pun intended :)
So to answer your first question, now that you are free of the religious shackles, go explore the world, try to find answers to unanswered questions, be kind to others, try to make a difference.
Oh, and remember to smile at the sheep that won't understand you, and condemn you for your choice to not believe.

Your second reason is actually better than your first reason. The "religion is the cause of all wars" argument is inherently flawed, and I wouldn't use it. Very few wars in history actually have any basis in religion. You probably can't name any besides the Crusades, and there have been thousands of armed conflicts in the 20th century alone. Wars are mainly political in nature, or for territory and resources.

One technical little detail - the ten commandments say 'Don't Murder,' not 'don't kill'. That's just one of the translation errors in the KJV.
