BALLET!! Leotards; With or Without undergarments?

Did you buy your leotard already? I know my leotard is high cut in the front and there's a bigger dip in the back. So I can wear a bra and no one knows. You just kind of tuck the straps in. But at least where I am everyone wears bras and underwear. My underwear is covered by my leotard too. But under your leotard over your underwear most studios tell you to wear tights. And if the underwear peaks out the tights kind of hide it. You can also wear a dance skirt or shirt with it if your studio isn't very strict. And with the jumping out, get a high cut leotard and leotards are very tight and binding so it isn't a problem. =] <3 Good luck!

I just wear tights with a lining in them and definetley a bra. Particularly a sports bra, usually a neutral colored one like black or tan. There are some leotards with built in bras and underwire, but they don't always have the support you need especially when doing jumps. Sometimes if you wear underwear(depending in the leotard) the underwear shows through the leg openings and it's not very attractive. So I would wear lined tights and a sports bra! Hope that helped!

WEAR! Some leotards have bits already built in but it's always safer to wear a bra, particularly as you'll be jumping around.

EDIT: Just to clarify wear a sports bra :) They'll be more inconspicuous than the type you may be thinking of and will make things a lot more comfortable for you anyway

I wear neither. And really the underwear is never needed. I think it is really funny when girls are to afraid to not wear underwear. You have tights and a leo on you don't need undies! Bra is okay if you need it (im flat so I don't worry about it)
