i jail broke my i pod touch 4G and i got the app cydia and the app isn't working what does cydia do?

is cydia not working for anyone else????

    There is two reasons why it may not work :

    Untethered Jailbreak version of your jailbreaker is not same as your Ipod IOS version.

    You have the newest version of your IOS and the jailbreak is not compatible.

    If those two things are checked, just restart your Ipod pressing your lock button a long time.
