Christians...I have a question (part 2 haha)?
I know the New Testament states Jesus is the only way to heaven, does that mean the chosen people (Jews) are spending an eternity in hell? Also, what happened to the prophets of the Old Testament? Jesus wasn't born, so was there no way into heaven prior to His birth? And if the Holy Trilogy (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is one, how can only one be believed in to be accepted into heaven?
Please know I'm asking these questions respectively and out of curiosity, not ridicule.
Lol. Respectfully. I'm stupid.
That's right. Sorry guys, I wasn't paying close attention to my words. The Holy Trinity. I guess I've got the hunger games on my brain. :P

Got a few questions here, huh?
Yes Jesus is the only way to heaven.
The Jews must enter heaven the same way everyone else does. (By believing in Jesus as our savior)
The prophets of the Old Testament were preached to when Jesus descended to hell to get them out.
You must believe God is all three. All three of them don't work independently of each other. This is what is called "the Trinity".
God bless you!

Nice to see someone asking a question respectfully and out of curiosity rather than the bigotry I usually see floating around in this section of Yahoo!Answers.
To answer your first question: There have been two covenants that God established: The first was the old covenant with the Israelites. This was the covenant in which the Jewish people would slaughter animals without blemish for the forgiveness of their sins. The second covenant was established by Jesus in replacement of the old covenant. In this covenant forgiveness of sin can be achieved through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Now for the second: This is explained through the three in one principle. Because God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are essentially the same person in three different forms, belief in Jesus is the pretty much the same as believing in the other two forms in the Trinity.
Hope I helped,

Jesus did state that He was the only way to heaven. When he made these statements they were always on behalf of or including the Father and the Holy Spirit. One entity.
The old Testament believers will be in heaven because they walked with God and believed His promises. Anyway a few of them have already gone to Heaven - God loved Moses and Elijah so much He took them there.
Did you know that there is no such thing as the hell which current organizations espouse? Read through your Bible, well, do a search on hell. It was misinterpreted from the word meaning garbage dump. If you read the early Catholic church writings, you will find that they invented hell to scare people into the church.
The world will get burnt up one day, but when you burn a piece of paper, does it burn eternally? No, one whose and it is gone.
God would never have put hell on the agenda for us, the devil did it through his earthly adherents.

It is true that Jesus is the only way to heaven, but knowledge of Him isn't. If someone was or is unable to know Christ, he will be judged according to his moral standards and how well he adhered to them. If that person gets to heaven, he will realize upon his arrival that his being in heaven is due to Jesus.

No, it means that Jesus is the only way to heaven. None of us will be saved because of the law, all of us are going to be saved by mercy and grace of God.
God had a diffrent covenant with Jewish people than what He has with Christians. God is Jesus. He is the word God who became flesh.
It is not Trilogy, it is holy Trinity. Holy Trinity is about one true God.

Anyone who places their faith in Christ Jesus and repents from their sins will be forgiven and will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. This is because the person who placed his or her faith in Christ Jesus is using Christ's death as the wage for sin, which is death, instead of his or her own death. As a result the person will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Th bible was twisted around by the early christians and they intorduced pagan views of God in describing Jesus's divinity. I personally think the bible is full of errors and mistranslations. It is not the inspired final word of Yahweh.
I personally think the world would be a better place if Jesus was never born and Judaism wasn't branched into a new evil religion.
