Gimp, gimpshop or paint.net?

Can someone tell me which is better and why maybe compare the three. I need it to make posters and want to have some nice effects to make the posters look the best. Thank you.

I personally use photoshop, it takes some time to find free codes that actually work. Gimp is probally the best deals with transperency and layers unlike paint. Gimp i think is just alittle harder to use then photoshop

Ask this same question four or five more times, and maybe you'll get an answer.
