You're not too old. I'm 13 and I just started taking ballet a few months ago (when i was 12). I'm in Ballet 2 because I do dance at my school so I knew the basics. Start now! Here's what you'll need to know if you start at Ballet 2 ( you probably will, or higher they won't put a 13 year old in Ballet 1 it might be called Teen beginners ballet or something but same moves):

Chaine turns- super easy, you literally just turn and whip your head around or "spot". Look at a video that shows you how!

Pirouettes- a little harder, stand on one foot with other at your knee turned out and then turn and land. Again look at a video

Releve- Just got up on the balls of your feet, NOT TOES

Pencil Turn- like a pirouette but leg is straight out to the side

Pas De Bou Rey (spelling?)- a 3 step foot combination: back, side, front

Balance- pronounced bal like balance en like enter and say like say lol. Like a pas de bou rey. You know what, just look at videos for all these lol.

Foot positions: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, fifth on o

Arms to go with foot positions ^^

Plies- VERY simple, probably already know!

    Batemas- high leg kicks

Jette- big split leap in the air

Arabesque- I can't explain lol but they're REALLY easy

Be advanced, and learn entrechat, I taught myself these, they're not that hard!

Good luck with whatever you choose!
