Star Wars: Why after order 66... ?

Why soon after order 66 was used did the republic switch to using human recruits (storm troopers) instead of clones? (clone troopers)

I believe something went wrong with the cloning and they could no longer produce clones so they had to recruit humans, Storm Troopers were far worse in combat though.

I always thought the stormtoopers were the same as the clone troopers, but the Empire changed their names.
