Gift shopping in Shanghai?

I need to find relatively inexpensive (but not super cheap) gifts for family and friends back home. Something small (carry on plane) and representative of China. Any ideas what and where? Am thinking jade figures or Mao stuff, etc....but no clue beyond that? thanks!

    Small figurines of the Oriental Pearl Tower, Fans, Scarfs, Shirts?(Make sure you buy them from a legit place, or they will fall apart).
