How to search in Windows Vista?
I have windows vista, I am trying to search my photo files only for photos taken in 2011. I am confused by vista's search options as even the advanced search doesn't allow me to choose to search for files by year the picture was taken. There appears to be an option box in the advanced search,to search by year, but it is grayed out and I cannot enter anything into it. Help from anyone proficient in this logic-absent program would be greatly appreciated.

In any folder in residing house windows Vista... you are able to press CTRL+F to start up up the seek function. it will seem as a sidebar interior the folder window... to which you would be able to enter in key words to locate the document you're searching for. desire that helps.

Your photos have to be tagged with the year for a "by year" search to work. The Windows search function can't read the photos' EXIF data.

go to desktop > hit F3
you will see picture menu on the top and enter the details on the advance search
