Can your instrument cleaning cloth be washed?

My cleaning cloth is all full of green gunk and oil. If it's washable,should can I use the laundry machine or do I have to hand wash it?

    Which instrument do you play, and how/ where do you clean? Also what type of fabric is the cloth made of?

    Rub shampoo in. Wash in ammonia and soap. Hope it works.
