Lemon law cost reimbursement?
I bought an mp3 player from Best Buy along with their extended warranty protection thing. I have already had to replace it four times in the past six months. If it breaks again, I am tempted to just demand my money back instead of going through an ongoing process of replacing it (it takes like an hour to go down there and wait in the various lines to exchange it). As I understand, lemon laws apply to consumer goods just as they do to cars, so I'm pretty sure this would be covered.
What I'm not sure about is the extra money I spent on the extended warranty (which ended up being about 30% of the purchase price).
When you return something for a refund under lemon laws, do they have to refund the other things like extended warranties and stuff? Or do they only have to refund the purchase price on the item itself?
