Can someone please help me understand this copyright stuff?
"..........must not contain the trademarks, designs, copyrighted works, intellectual property, names, likenesses or images of any person or entity, otherwise infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity..................."
What all does this include? Would this include like brand/band logos, using people's/band's names, and/or music? I just need to know what it is that I CAN'T do. Sorry if I'm making this too confusing.
Thank You!!

It's a huge and complex field. What you can use depends on what the circumstances are.
For example, if you put a video of yourself dancing up on YouTube, and use a clip of someones music as a background, you have violated their copyright. However, if you put up a video of yourself reviewing and commenting on a bands new CD, and use a clip of their music to illustrate your review, that is "fair use", and you have not violated their copyright.
Put a Nike logo on a box that you are selling, you have violated Nike's trademark. Put a Nike logo on an eBay ad for a pair of Nike shoes, and you haven't.
Take a photo of Lady Gaga falling out of a limo and sell it to People magazine, and you are in the clear. Put that photo on a t-shirt and sell it, you are violating her right to profit from the use of her own likeness.
