Looking for some good teen series?

I've already read:

The Uglies

Percy Jackson

The Saga of Darren Shan

The Hunger Games (I enjoyed this series immensely!)

The Mediator

Blue Bloods

Pendragon

Harry Potter

The Lord of the Rings

Twilight (did not really like it but the books are way better than the movies lol)

A Series of Unfortunate Events

And more but this is off the top of my head.

As you can see, I really enjoy fantasy. I don't like things like novels centered around love, though I do like romances. I love Hunger Games because it was so intense. One of the things I did not like about Twilight were the characters, how focused the love triangle was, and the over-excessive use of the word 'chagrin' (did anyone else notice this or was it just me...?).

K and one more thing, one thing I didn't like about Lord of the Rings was how long it went on for. It's a fantastic story and I absolutely love the movies but it didn't give me a sense of excitement while I read it.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

i love Uglies, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, and Harry Potter! here are some books that i've read that i really like:

    1) Ranger's Apprentice Series by John Flanagan (the cover looks kinda weird but its a really good series! one of my favorites!)

    2) The Maze Runner by James Dashner (it's kinda like the Hunger Games. really good! the sequels are The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure.)

    3) The FableHaven Series by Brandon Mull (pretty good series.)

    4) The Heir Series by Cinda Williams Chima (these books are also known as the Warrior Heir, the Wizard Heir, and the Dragon Heir. i love the Warrior Heir the best but the sequels are good too)

    5) The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima (this one kinda focuses around romance. i dont really get what you mean on stuff like this but i thought i'd mention it. not one of my favorites but my older sis loves it)

    6) I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore (this was a pretty good book. i havent read the sequel yet)

    7) The Ink Trilogy by Cornelia Funke (this was an ok series. waaaay better than the movie!)

    8) Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flammel by Michael Scott (pretty good)

here are some books about either dragons or animals:

    1) Fire Bringer by David Clement-Davies (when i first saw this, i thought it would be lame cuz its about a deer, but its really, really good! plz read!)

    2) The Sight by David Clement-Davies (love this book! its about wolves, not werewolves. the sequel Fell is pretty good too)

    3) Dewey by Vicki Myron (this actually isnt a fantasy book, but its a story about this adorable this cat. i love it!)

    4) Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke (this is a pretty good book.)

    5) Dragon Keeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul (pretty good series. like the first one the best)

    6) Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George (really good book! Dragon Flight and Dragon Spear are ok too)

    7) Dragon Champion by E.E. Knight (pretty good book. there's also Dragon Avenger, Dragon Outcast, Dragon Strike and Dragon Fate. i love the first one the best)

i'm also going to read the following books:

    1) Artimis Fowl by Eion Colfer

    2) Found by Margret Peterson Haddix

    3) Dealing With Dragons by Patricia Wrede

also, you might want to check out www.wattpad.com. its this place for writers to write some pretty neat stories. not many are published but the site it still pretty good. Dragon of Legend; Destiny is pretty good.

    hope i helped! =] :)

    sorry if i didnt!

Eragon, Eldest, Brinsingr by Christopher Paolini. These are fantasy, they are like one series. I'm not sure if you will enjoy it though. It is about a boy of 15-16 who is out hunting. He comes across a polished blue stone and tries to trade it for some meat, but the butcher refuses to take it. Then, the stone turns out it isn't a stone at all, rather an egg, and it hatches into a dragon.

And from then on the boy and his dragon fight their evil king with the help of the Varden.

I found these books great, although, there is still one book that has yet to be printed. It is called "Inheritance" and comes out on the 9th of November, 2011, although you may need to order it now if you want to get it then, as not all book stores will have it immediately.

A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet, Far Thing by Libba Bray. Set in Victorian England with a supernatural twist.

The Chanters of Tremaris. Possibly for slightly younger readers, but I enjoyed them a lot.

Anything by Tamora Pierce. She's written a ton for two distinct worlds: Tortall and Emelan. Most of her protagonists are strong, independent females, but she manages to make them all distinct.

The Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffery. Dragons and riding them, what more could you want?
