I don't think so, why because once big problems arise from the marriage, it can surely drag the whole family (blood relatives) into the problem, which can later create hate between them, and not talking anymore to each other, etc...which is actually haram!

Although marrying a cousin is a little close to incest for my taste, I believe it's not strictly forbidden scripturally or genetically.
