Where should I put my dad's Chinese name on me out of these two locations?

Down my left back like this:

The reason is because my dad had a stroke which left his left side paralyzed and he also had a heart (heart is on his left side); so I want to feel like I'm being his strength by 'carrying' on his name in this way.

His name is only three characters and I want to make the tattoo characters as large as the artist is willing to make it without it looking too overwhelmingly tacky.

Which is more symbolic if one location could be any more symbolic than the other?

put it on your left side ribs because its physically reachable, whenever you want to feel the strength of dad's name tattoo by touching it, you can easily touch your ribs just like that but if u do it on the back its kinda hard to reach the back w/ ur fingers....., dunno if u know what I'm saying. But hope it helps, but that's pretty nice of you doing that for your dad, he's proud to have you as his daughter.

Go visit him more often, instead. If he can still go out and drink a little beer, take him out to his favourite bar. I am sure that he would rather have his ego boosted by what appears to be PDFs from a beautiful lady, from people who don`t know you, and perhaps a bit of jealousy from his other friends, who know who you both are, and wish that their beautiful daughters would go out in public with them.

If I were him, then this is exactly what I would prefer.
