Why did God create people just so he could murder them?

The old testament is full of God commanding the Isrealites to murder men, women, and CHILDREN. I can't believe the bible has such Steven Kingish material.

He didnt create them JUST to murder them.

    A) God cannot "murder" since he is the giver and taker of every single life. So its not like him taking a life is anything but expected. He takes every life! You are just whining about the longevity as if we are entitled to a certain amount of years from our very maker. Its kind of a laughable idea. "Thanks for creating me! But you are evil if you give me anything less than 80 years!!"

    B) They lived with FULL agency to make those choices. God knows their personality so He knew what they would choose, but that doesnt mean they should have been denied the opportunity to actually choose it. Otherwise you are promoting the idea of a God that punished people for sins they have not yet committed. Hardly just.

    C) They had AMPLE warning. Like, years and years of warning. They freaking watched Noah build the ship and mocked him the whole time. The fought against God's people, in complete wickedness and after multiple warnings were then destroyed. What do you expect?? Its not like these were all just chill people minding their own business and God came along and commanded their untimely murder. They were generations of people SO wicked, any forthcoming generations of children would have had NO chance at salvation. Their traditions and hatreds and wicked acts were so ingrained at that point, the only way to save countless future generations of souls was to cut them off at that point.

Even in The Stand, Stephen King killed off a smaller percentage of the world's population than the god character in the Noah's flood story.

    Apparently they deserved it.

I mean they don't say it like that, but that's basically the only explanation for his disgusting actions. Luckily though, this being doesn't exist, and so he never murdered infants and he's not going to throw billions of people into an eternal flame. Isn't it nice knowing that God doesn't exist? Sadly though, the religions do exist, and so many people were murdered because they broke ridiculous laws.
