My daughter was given the above laptop. It is currently fitted with a Celeron Processor socket P. The specs indicate it came with various processors below

Intel® Celeron® processor T3100 (1.9 GHz, 1 MB, 800 MHz)
Intel® Celeron® processor T3000 (1.8 GHz, 1 MB, 800 MHz)
Intel® Celeron® processor T1700 (1.83 GHz, 1 MB, 667 MHz)
Intel® Celeron® processor 900 (2.2 GHz, 1 MB, 800 MHz)
Intel® Celeron® processor 585 (2.16 GHz, 1 MB, 667 MHz)

I would like to upgrade it to one of the pentium processors  these can be got from ebay,  I am finding it difficult to be sure which of the many Pentium processors would be suitable. I have checked inside and it is easily upgradeable. The Fujitsu website doesn't go into enough detail
specific Intel Part numbers would be helpful. I am confident in doing the upgrade include a BIOS update if necessary

the socket fitted decides the complete range available, but not all will be supported
mobos usually support two FSB values....FSB values decide CPU choices
having two FSB values usually means having two ram speeds as well
designs include a heatsink/fan to suit processors of similar WATTS
Choosing a CPU with 2 Threads(not two cores) will increase power immensely
as will increasing cache size

notes: some cpus need the ram to run at certain speeds for them to utilise some 
features and to be running efficiently. it wont stop the cpu working but it may slow
it down if you dont have it running at the right one.
its down to the manufacturer of the mobo to explain this in the manuals.

check on intel site which CPU's fit that socket and have either of your two FSB

finally some early designs are Celeron Only designs. you have to read your manuals to find that out
but it is usually when the FSB only suits celerons.
