Does the koran really support the 72 virgins in the afterlife? What happened to respect and modesty?

Update:

I thought so. The muslims I know are classy. The 72 virgins thing seemed so random and unrealistic.

    No, the Quran does not mention the number "72" anywhere.

    The hadith that mentions it is weak.

    Also... you don't want to pull that card. Muslims are the most modest and self-respecting people on earth. And they'll be rewarded for it in the afterlife.

    Where does Quran talks about 72 virgins ..It does not .. Its a propaganda created by the Western Media .. but its not true

    It is from a Hadith. They are on almost equal footing with the Quran.

    Nothing in the Quran says to respect women. I don't know where you got that idea.
