most sports bras are like that you should return it and try to get a "shock absorber bra". the run a bit small in the cup so you might want to go up by one cup or one band. they get as close to zero movement as possible.

Hi Amanda, given you bought it from a sports shop, it's high support, and you paid a decent price, are you sure it lacks support, and it's not that your expectations are a little off-base?

Sports bras are not intended to prevent all movement, they are designed to control it. That's especially true at larger sizes, where eliminating movement is entirely unrealistic.

If you don't like it, of course by all means return it. But don't feel that any movement means it's not working - a bra that prevented all movement would be impossibly uncomfortable and restrictive to work out in. I don't know what sort of exercise you are doing, but it's quite normal for exercises like running to be uncomfortable with a large chest - don't worry that may be doing harm, it certainly will not, and in fact running is by far the best cardio exercise for weight loss and toning so by definition it gets easier with time, since it will certainly lead to a reduction in breast size. So - we can't tell you whether that particular bra is right or wrong, but keep your expectations realistic and above all, focus on your goal. Large breasts are definitely not a reason not to work out or run, you CAN do it - and I wish you the best of luck! :)

  • before you buy a sports bra, you have to either try it on a jump around (which i know you couldn't do at that store) or stretch it with your hands to see if there's enough resistance. if you can easily stretch it, it's not going to do anything for you. also, you could try wearing two sports bras if you think you move too much with just one. it sounds weird but it's actually pretty common for women with big boobs. best of luck with finding a good sports bra! it's not the easiest thing to do.
