Do these cases usually go unsolved?

If someone does multiple beer runs at a gas station and they finally put up a picture of the suspect  do they usually get solved quickly? How long do they usually keep the picture up? Does the person who turns them in get a reward? I know someone that has done this and he never gets out much so he's hardly in the public eye.  Do these cases usually go unsolved?

I am sure someone will recognize him if they have a decent picture of him. Once they know who he is they can get a warrant and arrest him at his house. How often they get solved depends on if they can identify the offender.
