Do I have Retinal Detachment?

Im 13 and im scared because I dont want to go blind or anything serious

I have a white shadow in my vision and It makes everything blurry. Ive had this for 2-3 years and its gotten worse now and everything is really really bad because of this white shadow? Is it retinal detachment? Is it too late to get surgery? Im scared .

if anything it sounds like a cataract.

here's a great link to learn about it:

if its been going on for 2-3 YEARS and you're soooo concerned why have you not seen a dr yet? call your eye dr and schedule and appointment NOW.

Source(s): i'm 25 and was born with coloboma of most parts of my eye. i've had 4 retinal detachments (twice in each eye). i'm now blind in my left eye and have 20/800 vision in my right eye. i also have glaucoma and had a cataract in my right eye which was removed in may of 2009
