I'm honestly not sure. My retina has detached twice (One of my eyes is abnormally shaped, so that's why) and I'm blind in one eye (I'm 14), but before I found out that it was detached, I didn't really feel anything - I remember having to blink a lot, but that didn't bother me. I'd go see a doctor, either a retinal specialist or a normal doctor, preferably at an eye and ear hospital (that's where I went to have my surgeries). That sounds very serious, and you should always go to a doctor when you

    This is a cataract:

It is a clouding on the lens of the eye that makes it difficult for light to pass through. It can make you go blind if left untreated.

    Is it in both eyes?

Please, please, please, see a doctor as soon as possible! Go to the emergency room!

I hope everything turns out ok, and if you have to get surgery, be sure to go to a reputable doctor, and know that everything will be better afterwards.

    All my best! :)

Source(s): i'm 25 and was born with coloboma of most parts of my eye. i've had 4 retinal detachments (twice in each eye). i'm now blind in my left eye and have 20/800 vision in my right eye. i also have glaucoma and had a cataract in my right eye which was removed in may of 2009.

Maybe it is a cataract? You don't have to be old to get them.

Whatever it is, you probably ought to get it looked at, since ignoring it is obviously not working.
