My lovebird isn't acting like himself. He doesn't wanna be any where but in his birdie pouch in his cage o?

Or snuggled next to me. His eyes don't stay open long and he seems weak. What do I do? I love my bird and he is making me nervous:(

Get him to the vet because that might be a sign of illness. Mostly if you take your lovebird to the vet they will give you medicine to your bird to give to. If you bird doesn't want to do anything, check and see if your bird is missing feathers or anything.

Hoped that helped. And good luck!

He may be ill and wants the heat provided by the little pouch or your body. See if his droppings are normal, if not, call a vet. You can help him stay worm by using a bare light bulb outside of the cage so he can get close to be warm or move away to cool off a bit. Perhaps you will want to cover the cage with a sheet or something to maintain the warmth but be sure he can still see out and interact with you and get cooled again. An actual heat lamp could be too hot. Did you change his food? How about fresh water? Don't let him get into a draft, hot or cold, and just let him do what he feels he needs at this time. Best of luck. You'll know when he perks up again and you can remove the bulb.

Perhaps your love bird needs a companion. If your really concerned call a vet. But just like humans, pets get lonely or nervous too.

is it a female? if i were you i would take your bird to the vet. birds hide their symptoms till they no longer can. if your lovebird has a runny lose, discharge stuck to the tail feathers, sleeping, or isnot eating or drinking, take him to the vet as soon as possible

Call your avian vet. Birds are experts at covering up illness. If he's showing signs, he's likely ill.
