IF I DONT WANT TO SPEND 1300 DOLLARS ON A ( #1)SENTRICON SYSTEM, OR( #2) HOLES DRILLED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF MY HOUSE AND FILLED WITH PHANTOM TERMITICIDE CHEMICAL, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? wHAT ABOUT USING PREMISE FOAM INSIDE THE WALLS WHERE I KNOW THERES TERMITE ACTIVITY, DUE TO RECENT SWARMING SEEN... OR WHAT ABOUT BURYING PIECES OF PINE SOAKED IN PHANTOM AROUND THE PERIMETER....THERE HAS TO BE A CHEAPER EFFECTIVE WAY??

Make sure they are termites first. Many people mistake flying ants for termites. Check this site out: http://flrec.ifas.ufl.edu/entomo/ants/Ant%20vs%20T... If they're termites, you NEED professional treatment. If they're ants, you can get away with some well placed Amdro ant bait.
Source(s): I had a flying ant swarm in our house. I thought it was termites first, then checked and sure enough, ants. Amdro took care of it in about a week (have to give it time to make it back to the nest and do its thing). - Anonymous1 decade ago

Baiting is the only solution that I can think of. I treated many a home but the problem is that swarmers can go through the treatment and be in your home before the chemical takes affect. There are new baiting systems like sentricon that when the colony eats the bait it wipes them all out so they can't lay anymore eggs, therefore no more swarmers. Call a pest control company for more details.
