MCAT Prep Book Options?
Does anyone have any experience using MCAT prep books by Princeton Review, Kaplan or lesser known like Exam Krackers? I'm wondering whether I should enroll in an MCAT prep course at my university or I should simply self-study over the next 2-3 months.

Based on student reviews at my uni Exam Krackers is VERY good for the verbal section. I heard Princeton Review and Kaplan are good too.
For your second question that depends. Some students can get good scores without having taken any pre courses. My advice is to self study for a bit and take some practice exams(AAMC offers a free practice exam and they will grade it for you - it's online). By doing this you can identify your weaknesses and then find a prep course that will allow you to strengthen your performance in whatever section(s) you have trouble with. Make sure you give yourself enough time to prepare. Ideally, you only want to take it once. If your uni offers free prep courses you should definitely attend whether you think you need help in that particular section or not.
