Is anyone disappointed in the choice of Wonder Woman?

I'm not disappointed but I'm doubtful. Everyone seems to think that the image of WW should fit in the type of show that is created in the '70s with brightly colored, G rated flavor where the Lynda Carter version perfectly fits in, but I think this new show presents a totally different flavor where WW is more sleek and the action sequences are more dramatic. Adrianne Palicki is a good actress and I think her body type and her height are perfect for the role. She was actually a track athlete in high school and that's athletic enough for me. She doesn't have to be muscular. Spiderman himself is thin but his super strength comes from an unnatural source and so does Wonder Woman's. What I'm doubtful about is her face -- she reminds me of Jennifer Tilly who played slutty roles in some horror comedies. WW's traditional face in cartoon versions bears a resemblance to Carter's heart shaped face with big blue eyes, and I'm afraid that Palicki's different facial look might not have the same radiant effect. But judging from the outfit, I think that this new show is a bit comedic and I'm hoping that her looks would fit in this setting.

That was my initial reaction after seeing your link to the new Wonder Woman costume for the NBC television series. Wonder Woman's original costume, worn by Lynda Carter in the initial live action television series got it right. Wonder Woman's costume is supposed to scream "I am an Amazon demi-Goddess from Themyscira. I am very smart, powerful, sexy and you will accept me for this!" I believe the problem is the costume, not the actress.

This new television costume with the blue vinyl pants looks like a bad Halloween costume in my humble opinion ...... I take it you had the same response when you saw the costume?
