Did Adolf Hitler Really Perform Economic Miracles for Germany?

Why do so many people today claim Hitler did so much for Germany's economy, yet they know so little about the German economy in the 1930s? Are they simply parroting Nazi propaganda without researching the facts?

It's not so much he did miracles is that he put people back to work. By using deficit spending and getting loans from the German Banks he put the arms factories on a war footing. This increased the production of steal and everything else. Unemployment became nonexistent. As many a worker said "during the Weimer Republic they may have had freedom, freedom to starve". He also dramatcially increased the size of the armed forces which pulled young men off the street. A lot of the things Hitler did in the way of increase in production and employment was what Roosevelt wanted to do but Roosevelts hands were tied by Congress and the Constitution.

Well I was not alive in the 30's and am not a Nazi, but from what I have heard from people who were alive during that time they claim the Nazis did play a factor in eliminating German debt and unemployment and breadlines. It does make sense in a "VERY BIZARRE" sort of way lol. Imagine if the bulk of a nations people decided to become fanatics and follow a dictator. Now imagine what would happen if they said "screw the debt" and literally erased it from the books and started over. That is sort of what they did from what I understand. Granted the people of Germany and the world ended up getting screwed because Hitler was an evil maniac.

Yes, Hitler revitalized german economy just because of rearmament. He took large credits from Reichsbank to fund armament (about 12 billion marks from 1933 to 1938.) Autobahns as public works also were needed for military. He also undertook something like ''four year plan'' in 1936., so it was planned that Germany should produce vast amounts of iron, oil, aluminium etc. Hitler said in 1936. : ''First, german army must be prepared for war in four years.Second - german economy must be prepare for war in four years.'' Herman Goering, as minister of economy, was appointed in 1936. to realize such a plan, but he didn't succeed. But, this plan, with all public works, brought employment for many people, although their wages were not promising. So from some 6 millions unemployed, nazi government decreased unemployment to about 300 000 in year 1939. But, economic boom was concetrated on war industry, so there could be a problem of recession in 1939.
