what is your position on students using sites like sparknotes?

Using them how? If they use them as an extra source just to check to make sure they covered everything after they did the work, I have no trouble with it. If they use them instead of doing the reading, or as a primary source of material, I think it is cheating and harms them.

It is good for students to use Sparknotes it enhances the learning experience.

i'm a student, and it horrifies me. nobody in my english class reads books anymore, they just read the sparknotes summaries--and then use the analysis to write their papers. it's terrible.
