Paintball marker for woodsball?

I started playing woodsball and scenario games (no speed/airball - I'm old and slow) and would like to buy a marker with a bit of range. I can afford something more than the under $100 markers, but not much more than a few hundred. I have a good mask, C02 tank, vest, and remote already. I will beat the hell out of it...likely drops, dust, bangs, smacks into walls, etc. I'm thinking a Tippmann A5 with a flatline barrel...but don't really know any other marker makers. Suggestions?

Alright, I'll start off by saying that any marker can be used for woodsball, whether it's a Spyder, Ego, DM, Tippmann, it all works. There is a difference between woodsball, and Milsim. Guns like the X7 and stuff are Milsim, nothing makes them better for woodsball. As stated before, all markers have the same range, the flat line will increase it a bit but it will slow down and probably won't break on target with the added range. You can go for a Tippmann if you like, I beat the hell out of my DM's and high end guns, I'm diving all over the place and they get banged up, they are just as durable as other markers. Just look for something you are comfortable with and take care of it. Try to get HPA, it's better to work with and works great in the cold. It has a more consistent shot and gives you better accuracy. And CO2 isn't meant for electro-pneumatic markers, there is nothing that stops you from using it with a blowback with an E-grip, the E-grip only makes the sear let go of the striker faster.

Tippmann x7 or x7 phenom. And no marker has greater range than another, only things different between markers is air usage, operating pressure, weight, firing speed / modes and durabilaty. The flatline barrel is a good barrel that will increase your range greatly, but needs to be fine tuned (any field or store can do it ). Also id recomend switching to hpa tanks over co2 asap. Its better for your gun to run hpa, and you'll get more shots per tank, and if you ever upgrade your tippmann with an egrip it won't free, ur not supose to use co2 with electronic guns at all.
