What are the requirements for donating hair for childrens wigs?
My 6 year old daughter asked me if she could donate her hair to make wigs for kids who have cancer. We live in Toronto and her hair is VERY curly--we're talking spiral curls. Do we measure it curly or do I have to straighten it to measure it?

Generally you can pull it straight to measure it. But let me suggest that you research your chosen charity very carefully. Many people give to Locks of Love, but the fact is that it's very unlikely that your donation will be made into a wig for kids with cancer. If it's made into a wig, it will more likely go to kids with alopecia. And most of their donations are actually sold. Pantene has a better program and they actually explain the process more thoroughly. The program is called "Beautiful Lengths."
