The Gamo Big Cat would have approximately the same velocity as a RWS Diana 34....around 930fps to 960fps. And I have read about the .177 Diana 34 taking foxes out to 25 yards. They were perfect temple shots.
Experiment with different brands/types of pellets to see which ones your Big Cat likes. Usually the dome pellets are the best. Some airgunners have very good success with the Predator Polymags (Plastic tipped pellets).

Only if you're executing one caught in a trap. The chances of killing a fox with a Gamo Big Cat in any "real life" hunting situation are nearly zero. I know a man who out of necessity >firearms are banned to civilians< hunts fox with an air rifle considerable more powerful than the Big Cat. His success rate is around 1 in 3. He's an expert hunter/shot plus he's a taxidermist, so he knows his preys anatomy. IMO, we have a responsibility, to ourselves, the game and other hunters, not to take a shot that we are not 100% sure of. Unless you're in a survival situation.

In spite of youtube "stunt" videos to the contrary. The Gamo Big Cat is an effective small game air rifle, but that's all.
The Big Cat which delivers around 14.5ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Will not make quick, clean, reliable, humane kills on anything other than small game(rabbits, squirrels, etc) and pest birds.
