What does HTC EVO stand for?

I have the HTC EVO phone on sprint cell phone service. People ask me, what phone is that? I say it is an H T C E V O, and they ask what does that stand for. I say the letters instead of the word because if I say Evo they think I am saying evil. I don't want people to think I have an evil phone. So it would be nice to know what EVO stands for, HTC as well.

    HTC is just the name of the company, like motorola, samsung, etc.heres some info on it
