What was Lowe's worst move as GM of Oilers?

Was it:

1. Trading Smyth (cuz they couldnt pay him the extra $100K he was asking for new contract?)

2. Trading Pronger (cuz he is a crybaby chump that wanted out of Edm for 'mistakes made'?)

3. Signing Horcoff the Horrible to a whopping $7 mil a season for 7 seasons!

Update:

Horcoff was originally signed at $7mil per season, then when he signed extension, it was restructured to a CAP HIT of $5.5 mil

Update 2:

your right, my bad.

Still a terrible signing though! LOL

    1) The 100K is a fabrication made up by people who were pissed off by Lowe not signing him.

    2) That trade got us the pick that we drafted Eberle with.

    3) Its 5.5 mil over 6 years.

His worst move was drafting Pouliot.

His contract is front heavy, meaning that more money is paid up front. Just like how Luongo is making 10 mil this year. That doesn't mean he was signed to a 10 million dollar deal. If you are going to try to criticize a signing, make sure you understand how the CBA works.
