Video Resume Question?

I went to a staffing agency that hires daycare staff (they don't charge anything to applicants...they charge the daycare centre).

They offer free video resumes....they tape a 5 minute clip of our interview then edit it and send it to Centres.....they had me sign a release form saying that the video will only be used for employment purposes and that the video becomes their property....is this normal/typical??

I think it's a great idea....what do other people think of video resumes?

Humm...you can record your own private video resume with a service like http://mailvu.com/ and send it directly to the employer without anyone else seeing it, or it becoming their property. Resumes should be confidential.

I recently created a video resume and upload it on www.mycareeri.com and had great success. The service I personally used was After uploading my video resume, I started receiving several calls a week from employers who had seen my resume and were interested in my qualifications. I highly recommend everyone searching for a new job create a video resume. They really work.
