Can i be charged with anything for playing airsoft in a county park during park hours?

There is a plot of land behind a park in manatee county FL, i have checked zoning and it is owned by the county parks and recreation service. As long as i am not endangering any one else with airsoft and in the park during park hours is it legal to play airsoft there? Of coarse it would be better to find a local airsoft field however none of the paintball parks in this area allow airsoft.

You'd have to check with your local government for any ordinances against that kind of thing.

In my area, there is a local ordinance that prohibits any projectiles being fired at all unless it is at a target range, permitted in writing by the board, or in self defense. This includes firearms, bows & arrows, airsoft, etc.

You'd have to check with your local ordinances to find out whether or not it is legal for you.

I wouldn't unless your in a secluded area of the park. Simply because kids can run from out of no where and a airsoft gun can take someones eye out.

Me and my friends would play in a local forest (Private property but no one was ever in there)

Perhaps you can find someplace like that? I doubt you would be charged with anything though, cops would just come and tell you to leave, possibly take the airsoft guns depending on some things (You NEED orange tips)

We have an ordinance in my town against "discharging an air rifle within city limits."

Leaving that aside, if people see it and think it's a real gun, then you are probably guilty of peace disturbance as well.
